We have concluded a data processing agreement with OpenAI to ensure that an appropriate level of data protection is maintained.

You can also find more information on the processing of data by OpenAI here: https://openai.com/policies/

8. Microsoft Teams

We use the "Microsoft Teams" service, hereinafter referred to as "Teams," to conduct online webinars. Teams is a service of Microsoft Corporation. When using Teams, various types of data are processed:

The legal basis for data processing when conducting webinars is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the effective conduct of webinars.

We generally do not share personal data processed during participation in our webinars with third parties unless explicitly designated for sharing. The Teams provider necessarily receives the aforementioned data.

Data is generally not processed outside the European Union. However, we cannot completely rule out the possibility of data being routed via servers located outside the European Union. This may be the case, in particular, if webinar participants are located in a third country. During data transmission, however, the data is encrypted and thus protected against unauthorized access.

We generally delete personal data when there is no longer a need for its storage. A need may exist, in particular, if the data is still required to fulfill contractual obligations, to examine and grant or defend against warranty and, if applicable, guarantee claims. In the case of statutory retention obligations, deletion is only considered after the respective retention period has expired.

9. Analysis and Tracking tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are based on Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. With the tracking measures to be used, we want to ensure a needs-based design and the continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer for you. These interests are to be regarded as justified within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

The respective data processing purposes and data categories can be found in the corresponding tracking tools.

i) Google Analytics

For the purpose of customizing and continually optimizing our pages, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/) (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereafter "Google"). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies (see point 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as

are transmitted to a Google server and stored there. The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage for the purposes of market research and tailor-made website design. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data in the order. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with any other data provided by Google. The IP addresses are anonymized, so that an assignment is not possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting the browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case not all features of this website may be fully usable.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. An opt-out cookie will be set that will prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

For more information about privacy related to Google Analytics, see the Google Analytics Help Center (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en).

ii) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

To statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website, we also use Google conversion tracking. In doing so, Google Adwords will set a cookie (see section 4) on your computer if you have reached our website via a Google ad.

These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of the Adwords customer's website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Every Adwords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of Adwords customers. The information gathered using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Adwords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Adwords customers get the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, they do not receive information that personally identifies users. In order to meet the requirements of the GDPR, we have agreed corresponding standard contractual clauses with Google.

If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can also refuse the required setting of a cookie - for example, via a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies. However, you may not be able to use all features of this website to the fullest extent. You will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can also opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Ads Settings. For instructions, see https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=en. In addition, you may disable the use of third-party cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative deactivation page at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and implementing the opt-out information listed there.

For more information and Google's privacy policy, please visit: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

iii) Google Signals

To tailor the way we design and continually refine our pages, we use Cross Device Tracking via Google Signals, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (https://www.google.com/intl/en/about/)(1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View , CA 94043, USA, hereafter "Google"). In this context, pseudonymised usage profiles are created and cookies (see point 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as

are transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting the browser software accordingly; however, we point out that in this case not all features of this website may be fully exploited.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

Ultimately, Google Signals will only work for you if you've enabled personalized ads in your Google Account. You can therefore prevent cross-device, anonymized evaluation of your account by disabling the personalized ads in your Ads settings. More detailed information can be found here: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662856.

iv) Google Remarketing component

We use the remarketing function on our website. This is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

We use this function to place interest-based, personalized advertising on third-party websites that also participate in the Google advertising network.

The legal basis is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our internet platform.

In order for this service to be possible, Google stores a cookie with a sequence of numbers on your end device via your Internet browser during your visit to our platform. This cookie records both your visit and the use of our platform in an anonymous form. However, personal data will not be passed on. If you then visit the website of a third party, which in turn also uses the Google advertising network, advertisements may appear that relate to our website or our offers there.

For the permanent deactivation of this function, Google offers for the most common Internet browsers https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin a browser plugin. In addition, the use of cookies by certain providers, e.g http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ can be deactivated via opt-out.

Through so-called cross-device marketing, Google may be able to track your usage behavior across multiple devices, so that you may be shown interest-based, personalized advertising even if you change devices. However, this presupposes that you have agreed to the linking of your browser history to your existing Google account. Google provides more information about Google Remarketing at https://www.google.com/privacy/ads/ on.

v) Google Charts

This page uses the diagram generator Google Charts via an API. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. In order to use the functions of Google Charts, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to a Google server and temporarily stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer. Google Charts is used in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online platform. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f GDPR. You can find more information on the handling of user data in Google's data protection declaration: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

vi) LinkedIn Ads

We use LinkedIn Ads, a service provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. LinkedIn Ads processes and stores information about our users' behavior. Among other things, cookies are used, small text files that are stored locally in the cache of your web browser on your device and allow an analysis of the use of our website by our users.

We use LinkedIn Ads for marketing and optimization purposes, in particular for analyzing the use of freelancermap and to continuously improve individual features and the user experience. By statistical evaluation of our user behavior we can improve our site and make it more interesting for our users. This is also our legitimate interest in the processing of the above data by LinkedIn. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. In order to meet the requirements of the GDPR, corresponding standard contractual clauses have been agreed with LinkedIn.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by deleting existing cookies and deactivating the storage of cookies in the settings of your web browser. We point out that in this case you cannot fully use all functions of our website. You can also prevent the collection of the aforementioned information by LinkedIn, by clicking on the following link and setting an opt-out cookie:

https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out

Note that this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies.

For more information on LinkedIn privacy, visit: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy

vii) Facebook

Social media plugins from Facebook are used on our website to make its use more personal. For this we use the "LIKE" or "SHARE" button. This is an offer from Facebook.

When you call up a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser, which integrates it into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged into Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example press the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and shown to your Facebook friends.

Facebook can use this information for the purpose of advertising, market research and the needs-based design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements shown to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services related to the use of Facebook. In order to meet the requirements of the GDPR, we have agreed corresponding standard contractual clauses with Facebook (Standard Contractual Clauses, SCCs)

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. The following link offers a simple way of completely deactivating data collection by Facebook: Facebook opt-out. If you click this link, any data collection by Facebook on our site is prevented by means of an opt-out cookie. Please note that you have to set this opt-out cookie on all of the devices you use individually by clicking on the opt-out link.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your related rights and setting options to protect your privacy can be found in Facebook's data protection information (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/).

viii) Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads)

- Bing Ads Conversion Tracking

We use the “Bing Ads Conversion Tracking” application from Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft”) to measure the reach of advertisements. It determines how successful our individual advertising campaigns are on Bing and Yahoo. In this way, we want to develop and display advertising that is of interest to you and make our offer more attractive. For this purpose, the UET Tag (Universal Event Tracking Tag) from Microsoft is integrated into our online offer. This JavaScript code enables Microsoft to use cookies to collect pseudonymised data about your visit and the use of our online offer (e.g. about the browser session and the website displayed) and, on this basis, aggregate, non-personal statistics (how many visitors have e.g. reached a certain target page). This enables us to understand the actions that have taken place after an ad was seen on Bing or Yahoo or after it was clicked. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

- Bing Ads remarketing

We also use the “Bing Ads Remarketing” application. This application enables us to show you our advertisements after you have visited our website when you continue to use the Internet. This is how we want to show you advertisements that are of interest to you. This is done using a cookie stored in your browser (see above), which is used to record and evaluate your usage behavior. No personal information is given to us about the individual website visitors and we can only advertise website customer target groups in a targeted manner if the customer target group has reached a critical size in terms of numbers. This makes it impossible for us to determine individual identities of visitors.

You can turn off tracking in a number of ways. You can prevent the storage of cookies in your browser settings, whereby our online offer may then only function to a limited extent for you. You can also prevent Microsoft from collecting data on this online offer by clicking here: https://choice.microsoft.com/en-US/opt-out. An opt-out cookie is set which prevents future recording when you visit our online offer. Please note that if you delete all cookies on your device, this opt-out cookie will also be deleted; should you therefore wish to continue to object in this case, you will have to set the cookie again using the link above. The opt-out cookie is set per top-level domain, per browser and per device and only prevents collection for this online offer. In addition, you can deactivate the interest-based advertisements of the providers that are part of the self-regulation campaigns “YourAdChoices” (optout.aboutads.info) or, for example, the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org), whereby this setting is deleted when you change your Delete cookies. You can also deactivate interest-based ads at advertise.bingads.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/policies/personalized-ads. The legal basis for processing is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Third party information: Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. Microsoft's privacy policy: privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement.

ix) etracker

The provider of this website uses the services of etracker GmbH from Hamburg, Germany ( www.etracker.com ) to analyze usage data. By default, we do not use cookies for web analysis. If we use analysis and optimization cookies, we will obtain your explicit consent separately in advance. If this is the case and you agree, cookies are used that enable a statistical range analysis of this website, a measurement of the success of our online marketing measures and test procedures, e.g. to test and optimize different versions of our online offer or its components . Cookies are small text files that are stored on the user's device by the internet browser. etracker cookies do not contain any information that would enable a user to be identified.

The data generated with etracker are processed and stored by etracker exclusively in Germany on behalf of the provider of this website and are therefore subject to strict German and European data protection laws and standards. In this regard, etracker has been independently checked, certified and awarded the data protection seal of approval ePrivacyseal.

The data processing is carried out based on the legal provisions of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f (legitimate interest) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the optimization of our online offer and our website. Since the privacy of our visitors is important to us, the data that may allow a reference to an individual person, such as the IP address, login or device ID, is anonymized or pseudonymized as soon as possible. It will not be used for any other purpose, combined with other data or passed on to third parties.

You can object to the data processing described above at any time. The contradiction has no adverse consequences.

Disable tracking

Further information on data protection at etracker can be found here.

x) Google Tag Manager

This website uses the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. The Google Tool Manager only implements tags. This means: no cookies are used and no personal data is recorded. The Google Tool Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been carried out at the domain or cookie level, it will remain in effect for all tracking tags, insofar as they are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Rollbar in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR, whereby Rollbar undertakes to ensure the necessary protection of your data and to process it exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. An appropriate level of protection within the meaning of Art. 44 ff. This website uses Zoho Marketing Automation for sending newsletters and other emails. The provider is Zoho Corporation GmbH, II. Hagen 7, 45127 Essen, Germany (hereinafter "Marketing Automation").

Marketing Automation is a service that, among other things, allows us to organize and analyze the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored on Zoho Marketing Automation's servers.

Data Analysis by Marketing Automation

With the help of Zoho Marketing Automation, we are able to analyze our campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter message was opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked most frequently.

We can also see whether certain predefined actions were performed after opening/clicking (conversion rate). For example, we can see whether you made a purchase after clicking on the email. If you do not want your data analyzed by Zoho Marketing Automation, you must unsubscribe from the mailing list. We provide a corresponding link for this purpose in every message. Zoho Marketing Automation also allows us to segment ("cluster") recipients based on various categories. For example, recipients can be segmented by age, gender, or location. This allows us to better tailor mailings to specific target groups.
