On freelancermap, freelancers get access to hundreds of new project opportunities each week, with a clear and fair pricing structure, plus the chance to boost their visibility to potential clients through optimized profiles.
Project providers can find a wide range of skilled freelancers, many with over 20 years of experience and academic backgrounds. The platform's smart search and versatile filters make it easy to quickly find the right experts.
freelancermap also offers useful tools and valuable data insights, helping both freelancers and clients collaborate more effectively and efficiently.
freelancermap offers both free and paid memberships. The Basic membership is free and includes access to all essential features. If you’d like to unlock additional options, you can upgrade to a paid membership.
For freelancers, the Premium membership (starting at €13.99/month, billed annually) provides unlimited project applications and detailed profile statistics.
For project providers, the Business and Enterprise memberships include benefits such as team accounts, unlimited CV downloads, and a company profile showcasing all job openings (with no extra recruitment fees). Business membership starts at €59/month and Enterprise at €89/month, billed annually.
Additional costs only apply for optional features, such as freelancer profile verification or booking a Featured Project. The prices for these services are always displayed transparently where applicable.
Yes, the fees for a paid membership on freelancermap can generally be claimed as a business expense. Since the platform is used solely for business purposes, the fees are usually considered business-related in Germany. Depending on your individual situation, they may be deductible as operating expenses or advertising costs. For a definitive assessment, it is advisable to consult with a tax advisor.

1.2. For companies & projects providers
After registering for free, simply click on “Post new project” in the dashboard. To ensure your project gets maximum visibility and attracts the right applicants, make sure to include a clear project title, a detailed description, and relevant keywords and contract specifications. This helps companies quickly connect with the right freelancers.

freelancermap specialises in freelance project work. Projects with the following characteristics tend to perform best:

Due to market trends, temporary employment contracts (ANÜ) or permanent positions are also posted. Freelancers can use filters to search for the contract types that suit them best.

Alternatively, companies can post a job, and suitable freelancers will be directly suggested. You can contact them all at once using a bulk message.
A Featured project is a highlighted job listing that gets maximum visibility. Your project will be placed prominently and attract more attention from potential candidates.

With a Business or Enterprise plan, you can add more users to your main account. This is especially beneficial for larger teams, as multiple employees can manage or post projects simultaneously. Depending on the roles assigned, users can manage either only their own projects and messages or have full access to the entire account.
You can purchase packages for 5 or 10 users at a time. These packages are flexible, allowing you to choose between monthly or yearly contracts (with a 10% discount on the yearly plan).

Signing up on freelancermap is free and quick. After confirming your email address, you’ll have access to all the basic features, including posting projects, browsing the freelancer directory, and contacting candidates directly.
With a Business or Enterprise membership, you can access project statistics in your dashboard, including:

These insights help you quickly see which jobs are generating the most interest and where improvements can be made.
In your dashboard under "Settings," you’ll find all the options for managing your membership, including cancelling or deleting your account. For more details on cancellation, check the section on Account & Security.
Enterprise members can automate the project import process via XML or JSON. We also support integrations with tools like Broadbean and LogicMelon, so imports via these platforms are also possible. Custom interfaces are available upon request and may come with additional costs. The standard import is free. For more details, contact: support@freelancermap.com
1.3. For freelancers
It’s simple: sign up for free, create a profile, and get started. With the basic and free membership, you can apply for up to 10 projects per month and respond to up to 3 contact requests from paying clients. For greater visibility and more features, we recommend the Premium subscription.
The premium membership offers extended features and is available starting at €13.99/month. There are no commission fees on freelancermap. You can find a full overview of the prices and features here.

For monthly subscriptions, the notice period is 14 days. For annual contracts, the notice period is one month before the end of the term. More information about cancellations can be found in the section Account & Security.
After signing up, go to your dashboard and click on "Create profile".There, you can highlight your skills, work experience, project history, and more. A strong profile with clear keywords and a professional photo greatly increases your chances of being contacted by potential clients.

You can find the link on your profile edit page under “Open your profile”. You can place this link on your website, in your email signature, or on social media platforms.
Premium members appear at the top of search results. An up-to-date profile with strong keywords and a professional photo also increases your chances of receiving contact requests.
Your profile picture should be in JPEG, JPG, or PNG format and must not exceed 5 MB in file size. For optimal display, we recommend uploading a high-resolution image.
The platform automatically generates preview images in various sizes. To ensure your photo appears clear and sharp in the detailed view, it should have a minimum resolution of 100 x 140 pixels.

As a Premium member, you can access detailed statistics on your profile performance in your dashboard:

You can verify your identity through the verification feature in your profile or dashboard. A verified profile builds trust with potential clients and increases your chances of receiving serious offers. Learn more about profile verification.
You can use the keyword search on our project board and filter out the results by using the numerous filters available. By saving your search, you can opt-in to receive regular project recommendations via email.
Another helpful feature is our project alert, which notifies you every time a new project matching your skills and preferences is published on the platform.
The project alert helps you find suitable projects quickly and efficiently. Based on your saved search criteria and preferences, it automatically notifies you via email about relevant opportunities published on the platform – no manual searching required.
As a Premium member, you can create unlimited project alerts for different search criteria. Basic members can create only one alert.

You can only apply for a project if your freelance profile is active. If you've deactivated it, please reactivate it via your dashboard.
If you haven’t created a profile yet, you can set one up now – there are no additional costs involved.
You can save interesting contacts to your favorites list. We also recommend keeping an eye on projects you've applied to. All sent messages and applications can be found in your inbox in the "Sent applications" folder, and in your projects watchlist under the "Applied" tab.
Yes, freelancermap features numerous projects posted directly by end clients. These are usually easy to identify thanks to clear descriptions and a corresponding note in the project text.
In the search results, you can specifically filter for end-client projects by activating the “End client projects only” option. This way, you’ll only see only these listings excluding opportunities posted by recruiting companies.
1.4. Invoices & payments
You can find your invoices in your settings." Scroll down to the "Subscription" section and click on "View Invoices." There, you can view all invoices and download them if needed.
You can also add a separate billing address in the "Settings" section under "Billing address". This way, your next invoice will be created directly with your preferred information.
You can add your Value Added Tax Identification Number (VAT ID) under Settings / Personal data. This information is especially important for intra-community services within the EU under the reverse charge procedure.

Companies with Business or Enterprise plans can alternatively pay via bank transfer. The necessary payment information (IBAN and BIC) can be found directly on the invoice.
1.5. Registration & login
Just use this link to create your account.
You will find a log in button on the top navigation. You can choose to stay logged in by checking “Remember me”. This way, you won’t have to enter your details every time you visit. (Make sure cookies are enabled in your browser for this to work.)
If you upgrade your account or decide to try one of our optional services, such as profile verification or our Featured Project, you will receive a digitally signed PDF invoice that is accepted by all tax authorities.
You’ll find them in Settings under Subscriptions > show invoices.
You can pay by credit card, PayPal or direct debit (for German accounts). Companies signing up for a Business or Enterprise membership can also pay by bank transfer — you’ll find the IBAN and BIC at the bottom of the invoice.
After registering, you’ll receive an email with an activation link. Your account is only active once you’ve clicked that link. Didn’t get the email? Click here to request it again.
No worries! You can reset your password here.
Go to the section Change email address in your settings. We’ll send you a confirmation link to that address — once you’ve clicked it, your new email will be active.
You can cancel your membership at any time in your account settings under “Subscriptions”. At the end of your current Premium term, your account will automatically revert to the free Basic membership. Please also note the cancellation periods outlined in our current Terms & Conditions.
To permanently delete your freelancermap account, go to your account settings and select the option “Delete account”.
1.6. Communication & messages
Messages from basic members can only be read in full if either the sender or recipient has a Premium membership. Upgrading to a Premium account will give you full access to all messages in your inbox.
You can find all your sent messages, including project applications, in the "Sent" folder of your inbox. This helps you keep track of all your communications.
Go to "Settings" / Notifications, where you can choose to activate or deactivate specific notifications. You can customise notifications for incoming messages, special offers, and platform updates, each category individually.
1.7. Account & security
Your username is the email address you used to register. If you've forgotten your password, just click on "Forgot Password?" on the login page, and we'll send you a link to reset it via email.
Log in and go to "Settings" → "Change email address" in your dashboard. From there, you can update your email and personal details. The new email address will be confirmed through a verification link.
There are several reasons why you might be having trouble logging in. After registering, you should receive an email with an activation link. Your account is fully activated only once you've clicked this link. You won’t be able to log in before that.
Here are some common reasons:
/ The activation email hasn't been confirmed
/ The email landed in your spam folder
/ The email was accidentally deleted
/ Your account has been suspended
If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it using your registered email.

You can cancel your paid membership directly from your dashboard under "Settings".
The following cancellation periods apply:
/ For monthly billing, the notice period is 14 days before the end of the current payment period.
/ For quarterly and annual billing, the notice period is one month before the end of your selected payment period.
If you don’t cancel on time, your membership will automatically renew for the next period. You can cancel easily either in writing or directly through the portal.
After successful cancellation, the account will be downgraded to the free basic membership at the end of your current paid period. Until then, you’ll retain access to all features included in your current plan. After the downgrade, all paid features will be removed.
You can permanently delete your account from your settings. Please note, this action is final and you will lose all data. We cannot offer a refund for any unused portion of your subscription. If you want to delete your account but still have an active paid membership, please contact support@freelancermap.com.
If you’ve purchased additional services like account verification, these need to be canceled separately. You’ll find the option to do this in your account settings.
